Andres Iniesta the footballing genius???

This is so sad ,how people are criticising the greatest of all time of his position , Andrés Iniesta: The footballers' footballer ,was one of the greatest LaMasia product ,a generational talent , I don't know why do people say these irrelevant and harsh words on him , i think they don't know football or understand it totally .

Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have rightly dominated the headlines for the past decade, leaving Andrés Iniesta's sustained brilliance to go under the radar somewhat.

However, there is no question that the Spanish magician is the footballers' footballer.

Much like Paul Scholes before him, his technique, vision and ability to dictate the pace of a game has been consistently recognised by some of the most high-profile names in the sport.

These are some quotes on him by some legends of the game.

Pep Guardiola

"Iniesta doesn't dye his hair, he doesn't wear earrings and he hasn't got any tattoos. Maybe that makes him unattractive to the media, but he is the best."

Lionel Messi

"Andres and I are similar in that we both use our bodies a lot, to avoid opponents. But he has something that always amazes me. There's always a moment when you think you're going to catch him, when you think you're going to get the ball off him, but you can't. He's not especially quick, but he has that ability to always get away from you, which comes from his technique."

Fernando Torres

"When he has the ball, it's like everything else stops - like the camera is going in slow motion."

Ronaldinho

"When I see him play these days, he reminds me of Xavi. He was always a top-quality player. He started very young with us, and it's crazy to see how he has gone on to make so much history."

Sergio Ramos

"Iniesta is the boyfriend that every mother wants her daughter to have. The figures over his career tell you all you need to know. He is a magical player. There are few players in the world that can compare to him."

Xavi

"Iniesta is easily Spain's most complete player. He has everything. Playing alongside him is very easy."

David Silva

"The press often ask me whether Messi or Ronaldo is the best, but for me something is very clear: Andres Iniesta is the number one. He is able to do even more difficult things on the pitch. He is magic with the ball and so influential."

Vicente Del Bosque

"He is the complete footballer. He can attack and defend, he creates and scores."

Cesc Fàbregas

"He's creative, he runs with the ball, he's got a brilliant final pass and with each passing year he's become more of a goalscorer as well as a provider. He's a source of immense confidence for us. During matches you can see him taking on more and more responsibility and in attack he's the team's reference point."

Luka Modric

"Iniesta is a great player. If people compare me to him, that makes me proud. He is one of the best midfielders in the history of football. I like playing against him. I admire him as a player and an athlete."

What do Italian football teams need to surpass Juventus and win Serie A?

Short term : Play well. Do it consistently. Have good scouts and responsible transfer policy. Employ a top manager and a few highly experienced Serie A players. Napoli managed to compete for the Scudetto (and nearly win) last season by doing something similar to this. Long term : Completely change the organisational structure and the mentality of those employed in it. Fabio Capello, a manager who has won the title with both Juventus and AS Roma described the difference. He said that when he won with Juventus, the next day he was discussing things with the club management about how to improve for next season. But, when he won it with AS Roma, the whole club was celebrating the victory for months to come. Simply put, Juventus has been rebuilt in an outstandingly secure fashion. Few clubs are organized that way. It’s only natural that their rule on the Serie A will fall at some point, since, frankly, all clubs hit those periods. But, with the way the club has been set up, I expec...

Will Lionel Messi succeed in a physically intensive league like Premier League considering his age?

why on earth would anyone think that he can't perform there. Just look at his statistics he is just too good for Premier league , People who says these kinda rubbish doesn't know football or living in a fairy world , 6 time ballon d'or and 6 time Golden boot doesn't come by mistake . With 22 goals in the Champions League against English clubs, no player can get close to Messi's record. The only other player to have even reached double figures is Messi's great rival Cristiano Ronaldo, who has hit 12 goals in his 17 appearances. Memorably, two of Messi's goals have come in the final itself. The Argentinian struck against United in the 2009 and 2011 finals, helping to down Alex Ferguson's side. While his record against English clubs is now brilliant, this was not always the case - hence the questioning of Messi. He did not score or provide a single assist in his first nine appearances against English opposition. Messi's tally against sides from a sing...

Riqui Puig should leave Barca?

Barcelona team has been revived since the beginning of the year with all of their players returning from injuries. Players such as Pedri Gonzalez, Memphis Depay, and others are fully fit to compete for the Blaugrana. As a result of this factor, Barcelona’s midfield has a plethora of choices. This might pose major problems for Riqui Puig. Nico Gonzalez, Sergio Busquet, Frankie De Jong, Gavi, Pedri, and Riqui Puig. They all will compete for a spot in the midfield trio. Riqui Puig was left out of the starting XI in the last Classico. Moreover, his absence from the bench indicates that Xavi Hernadez does not count on him. The 22-year-old has made six appearances for the Catalan giant this season, contributing zero goals. Several European clubs approached the La Masia graduate during the previous season, including As Roma, Real Betis, Real Sociedad, Celta Vigo, and AC Milan. But he turned them all down. He aspired to be a starter and flourish in Barcelona. The Spaniard’s market ...
