Barcelona 1-1 Eibar: Match Review; Koeman continues to disappoint

First Half
A week after his departure, Barcelona returned to the Camp Nou to face Eibar. José Luis Mendilibar's men often concede more goals at Camp Nou. However, Lionel Messi, who was out of today's game, was not there to score as many goals as he did earlier this year. Ronald Koeman has decided to go with the same construction for Real Valladolid.

Martin Braithwaite did not have a good start to the game. Big Dane missed a penalty in the first five minutes. Ronald Araujo won the place behind the corner. Braithwaite then continued his grief by scoring an illegal offside goal. Junior Firpo's movement was at an all-time high, but he was caught falling offside.

The VAR then had to make another decision as Eibar could receive a fine. Oscar Mingueza stepped in and tried to weaken the attacker. After a lengthy review, the referee did not fine the guests.

All in all, this performance in the first half was a great promise - some of the most recognizable marks on the home side have been reduced by some of the top scorers. Mendilibar read the Blaugrana line well and often swallowed the hosts.

Second half

After a show-off in the first half, Koeman decided to remove Sergiño Dest, who needed the most, Ousmane Dembélé. Oscar Mingueza complemented the American as Barça regained their 4-2-3-1 standings.

Dembélé was healthy for the first few minutes. The Frenchman made several runs in the back, and Pedri picked him up from a distance. The good pass of the boy reached the winger's feet, but the latter could not score. After one minute, Araujo will make a mistake and lose the ball in front of goal. Kike ran with the ball and scored. After ruling for the first few minutes, Barça went to the rear.
Many Culés panicked, Koeman took Antoine Griezmann and Miralem Pjanic to Philippe Coutinho and Francisco Trincão. Cout was injured as he pulled his miniscule. A few minutes after the change, two players Junior Firpo and Coutinho followed by a cross will end up on Dembélé's path. The Frenchman, after crossing a clear chance earlier, has measured his side.

In conclusion, after such a good performance last week, Barça was disappointed at the Camp Nou. Koeman will have to reconsider his tactics. Eibar is often beaten at the Camp Nou, not beating them or getting a satisfactory result is frustrating.
